What is the cruise duration of the cruise?

The cruise is six hours. If you have chosen a cruise with a stopover, you will have 2.5 hours on arrival and then a return bus trip of approximately one hour.

Can I purchase food onboard?

We sell a range of snacks and sandwiches onboard but you are more than welcome to bring your own packed lunches or picnic. What about drinks? We sell a full range of hot and cold drinks and we have a fully licensed bar aboard. Due to licensing restrictions, you cannot bring your own alcohol onboard.

Can I bring a dog?

Due to the duration of the cruise, dogs cannot be carried on the Manchester Ship Canal cruises. We do of course, accept assistance dogs.

Is smoking permitted?

All Mersey Ferries, premises, including vessels are designated as no smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted on the vessel at any time.

Who qualifies for the concession price?

The concession price applies to passengers age 60 and over, registered disabled passengers and those in full time education.

What are the children’s prices?

Children under the age of 2 are free of charge but still need to have an infant ticket so please make sure you let us know at the time of booking. Children age 2-16 will be charged at the concessions price.

Is the cruise suitable for children?

Please remember that the day is likely to be around 9.5 hours in duration and the cruises do not have any children’s activities.

What are the arrangements for seating ?

We offer free seating on board, we are unable to reserve seats.

Where can I park?

We can offer free parking at Seacombe, parking is available at Q Park in Liverpool which is close to the Pier Head Ferry Terminal (check website for charges) and at the Lowry Outlet Mall multi-storey car park in Salford (check website for charges)

Are the vessels accessible?

All Mersey Ferries vessels are fully accessible, however we do need to know about passengers using wheelchairs to ensure we have suitable low-loader buses ordered for the return journey.

How do we get back?

Return bus transfers will be operated by Arriva double-decker buses.
