Manchester Ship Canal Cruise Reviews

'Super Day Out'

We travelled from Salford Quays to Liverpool Pier Head on Snowdrop the dazzle ship. The cruise was really interesting with an informative commentary throughout, giving details of the history of the canal and information about its present day use. The ferry was comfortable and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We bought refreshments which were reasonably priced and very tasty, home made tomato soup, bacon butties, good selection of cakes, tea, coffee and wine. We saw a variety of wildlife both in the water and on the banks. The weather was superb, a brilliant Autumn day out. – September 2015

'Great day out'

Just in after a brilliant day out on the Manchester Ship canal cruise with Mersey Ferries. What an interesting day out sailing along the Mersey, which is always a joy into the ship canal. The contrast of stark industrial scenery to feasts of the natural world was wonderful. Watching cranes and swans flying past the boat was a great photographic opportunity. The locks and moving bridges are instruments of amazing feats of engineering which can be only viewed from the canal.

The staff on the ferry are to be commended as they are all out to give us an enjoyable experience which they well achieved. They were friendly, humorous, informative and gave clear precise instructions for our pick up after the trip. Thank you for looking after us so well.

The delicious scouse was served by friendly staff in the cafe.

The gentleman who delivered the running commentary for 6 hours deserves a medal. His knowledge of the area, of the local history, social history, industry and nature was outstanding.

I can highly recommend this day out - September 2015
