Getting to Salford Quays
The meeting point for your journey is the Imperial War Museum North. Parking is available at The Lowry Outlet Mall, fees do apply. The postcode for The Lowry Outlet Mall is M50 3AH.

Metrolink offers a frequent service to Salford Quays from Manchester City Centre. The tram stop most suited to the Imperial War Museum is 'Media City'. There is a short walk, approximately ten minutes, from the tram stop to the museum. On the day of your cruise
Meet at the Imperial War Museum North at Salford Quays at least 30 minutes before your scheduled sailing time. You will be met by our friendly crew members and transferred by coach for a short journey to our waiting Mersey Ferry, for a leisurely trip along the Manchester Ship Canal. Cruise duration is normally 5-6 hours. Please note there is no direct public access to the Mersey Ferry berth.

You can enhance your Manchester Ship Canal Cruise with a visit to the Beatles Story at the Albert Dock. You can also visit U-boat Story located at the Mersey Ferries Terminal at Woodside. The informative exhibition tells the amazing story of the German World War II submarine U-534.

As you reach Liverpool details about the return coach to Salford will be announced by the staff on board. The return pick up point is located on Canada Boulevard, in front of the Pier Head Ferry Terminal building or at Woodside Ferry Terminal if you have visited U-boat Story. You can then choose to be dropped off at Salford Quays or Manchester Piccadilly Train Station.

If you opt for a cruise with a stopover there are many attractions within a short walking distance from Pier Head Ferry Terminal. Liverpool ONE offers a vast array of ships and restaurants for those who want to indulge in some retail therapy. The Albert Dock with its historic buildings and waterfront attractions is also very close by or you might just want to soak up the atmosphere of Liverpool's unique World Heritage waterfront.
