Departure Information From Wirral
Due to extensive redevelopment work at Pier Head, Liverpool, all Manchester Ship Canal Cruises for 2008 will operate from our Seacombe, Wallasey and Woodside, Birkenhead ferry terminals, Wirral.
Seacombe Ferry Terminal
Victoria Place, Seacombe, Wallasey, Wirral CH44 6QY
Seacombe is the best option for passengers arriving by car.
From Liverpool, Seacombe can easily be accessed via the Wallasey Tunnel (Kingsway). From the tunnel exit, bear left up the slip road, left and left again at the traffic lights, we are signposted. From Wirral and Cheshire, use J1 of the M53 and follow the signs.
Seacombe has free parking and space for 250 cars.
Free coach parking is available at nearby East Street.
Woodside Ferry Terminal
Woodside, Birkenhead, Wirral CH41 6DU
Woodside is the best option for passengers using public transport.
The nearest Merseyrail station is Hamilton Square.
The nearest Merseyrail station is Hamilton Square, which is only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal. Hamilton Square is only 10 minutes from Liverpool Lime Street, Central, Moorfields & James Street Merseyrail stations and is on the Wirral line. Passengers arriving from Wirral, Ellesmere Port & Chester should also alight here.
Free coach parking is available by prior arrangement.
Return Bus Transfer From Salford Quays
Return bus transfer from Salford Quays back to Wirral is included in the ticket price. Drop-off points on the return will be at Liverpool Lime Street Station, Seacombe Ferry Terminal and Bridge Street Birkenhead, this being central for both Woodside and Hamilton Square Station.

The ferry departs from Central Bay in Salford Quays, which is adjacent to The Lowry and Lowry Outlet Mall. Please see the location map for further details.
By Car
From the M60 take Junction 12 for the M602. Salford Quays are a quarter of
a mile from Junction 3 of the M602. Follow signs for Salford Quays.
Parking
The nearest parking is the Lowry Outlet Mall multi storey car park. Mersey Ferries customers can park for up to 12 hours for a cost of £6.50 on production
of a parking voucher, which will be enclosed with your tickets. The vessel
is a 10-minute walk from the car park.
Return Bus Transfer From Pier Head, Liverpool
Return bus transfer from Pier Head back to Manchester is included in the ticket
price. The drop-off point in Manchester will be back at Salford Quays. We
can also drop-off at Piccadilly Station in Manchester by prior arrangement.
By Metrolink Tram
Frequent trams run from Manchester City Centre to Salford Quays. Passengers
should disembark at Salford Quays or Anchorage tram stations. The vessel
is a 10-minute walk from either tram station. For further Metrolink information
