Hop on the iconic Mersey Ferry for our 10-minute direct cross-river service each weekday morning and evening between Woodside, Wirral and Liverpool Gerry Marsden (Pier Head), Liverpool.

If you’re a commuter looking to beat the traffic and your stressful daily journey or a visitor to our beautiful city region, our frequent and direct cross-river service sets sail every 20-minutes from 07:20am- 09:40am & 5pm-6:40pm Monday to Friday. All services will operate from Liverpool Gerry Marsden (Pier Head) and Woodside, whilst Seacombe is closed for major refurbishment work. Set sail and cross the River Mersey in 10 minutes

There’s plenty of space for passengers on board, so you can spread out and either sit on the top deck and appreciate the incredible views of Liverpool and Wirral’s historic skyline in the fresh air, or sit inside on the lower deck and enjoy the view from the windows on the 10 minute journey. We also have lots of space for bikes on our lower deck if you want to build more exercise into your day and try a healthier way to travel.

Passengers that buy a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly Commuter pass will also benefit from free parking at Woodside Ferry Terminal. Please speak to one of our friendly staff members at the terminal to receive your parking pass.

The direct cross-river service is perfect for busy tourists and visitors that may have missed one of our 50-minute River Explorer Cruises, but still want to set sail across the River Mersey on the world-famous Mersey Ferry and get the perfect selfie. You’ll still see some incredible views of the skyline, but please note the expert recorded commentary does not play on the direct cross-river service.
