How long does the cruise last?
The cruise duration is normally between 5 – 6 hours. If you have chosen a cruise from Salford that includes a stopover, you will have 2½ hours (1½ hours on a Sunday) on arrival and then a return coach trip of approximately one hour. We cannot guarantee time for stopovers if we arrive late.
 
Can I buy food on board?
Our on board cafe sells a range of snacks and sandwiches on board but you are more than welcome to bring your own packed lunches or picnic. There is also a full range of hot and cold drinks to buy as well as a fully licensed bar aboard. Due to licensing restrictions, you cannot bring your own alcohol onboard.
 
Can I bring a dog?
Due to the duration of the cruise, dogs cannot be carried on the Manchester Ship Canal cruises. We do of course, accept assistance dogs.
 
Is smoking permitted?
All Mersey Ferries, premises, including vessels are designated as no smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted on the vessel at any time. This also includes electronic cigarettes.
 
How much are children's tickets?
Children under the age of 2 are free of charge but still need to have an infant ticket so please make sure you let us know at the time of booking.
 
Is the cruise suitable for children?
Please remember that the cruise is likely to be between 7½ and 9½ hours in duration and the cruises do not have any children’s activities.
 
What are the arrangements for seating?
We offer free seating on board, we are unable to reserve seats and seats are on a first come first served basis.
 
Where can I park?
We offer free parking at Seacombe, parking is available at Q Park in Liverpool which is close to the Pier Head Ferry Terminal (check website for charges) and at the Lowry Outlet multi-storey car park in Salford Quays (check website for charges).
 
Are the vessels accessible?
All Mersey Ferries vessels are fully accessible on the main deck, however we do need to know if you use a wheelchair. Both collapsible and non-collapsible wheelchair space must be pre-booked by calling 0151 330 1003.
 
How do we get back?
Return coach transfers will be operated by Swan Travel and are included in the ticket price.
 
Can I get a refund?
There are no refunds available on Manchester Ship Canal Cruise tickets.

Can I change my ticket for another date?
Tickets can be exchanged for a cruise on an alternative date up to 14 days before the date of the cruise (subject to availability). An administration fee of £5 per person will be charged. Please call 0151 330 1003 to arrange a ticket exchange.
 
What do I do if I've lost my ticket?
Lost tickets cannot be replaced without proof of purchase. Any claim for replacement of lost tickets must be made at least 48 hours prior to the time commencement of the service that has been purchased.
 
How long are gift vouchers valid for?
Gift vouchers for Manchester Ship Canal Cruises must be used within 2 years of purchase.
 
What happens if the cruise I am booked on gets cancelled?
We will exchange your tickets for a cruise on an alternative date.
