Tall Ships return to liverpool 

A magnificent parade of sail will draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to Liverpool's World Heritage waterfront in 2018.

The Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta links Liverpool, Dublin and Bordeaux with hotly-contested racing across the Irish Sea and Bay of Biscay. And it all starts here on the River Mersey over the late May Bank Holiday weekend!

In addition to the ships themselves, the city will be transformed in to three cultural festivals - Liverpool in the city centre, the Irish Festival at the Albert Dock and the French Festival on the Pier Head, which will feature the prestigious Bordeaux Wine Festival. Mersey Ferries' River Explorer Cruise timetable will be operating on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May. Advanced bookings are available for these dates. Book here.

On Monday 28th May, following the Tall Ships Parade of Sail, River Explorer Cruises are due to commence at 3pm from Pier Head, Liverpool. Cruises will depart at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm & 6pm. Advanced booking for these cruises is not available.

Tall Ships Regatta - Parade of Sail Cruise

The amazing masted vessles will create a stunning sight as they make their way up the river to start the hotly-contested Regatta from Liverpool's world-famous, UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront on Monday 28th May.

Our special viewing cruise will give you a unique opportunity to view the parade of sail and follow the vessels as far as we can. There will be live music, commentary and interesting facts about the maritime history of Liverpool during this exciting parade on the River Mersey.

A licensed bar will be available, with drinks and light snacks for purchase.
Boarding at Seacombe, Wirral at 11am, Woodside, Wirral at 11.10am and Pier Head, Liverpool at 11.30am. The cruise lasts approximately 2½ hours. The performance area is situated on the upper deck, which is accessible by stairs only. The main deck of the vessel is fully accessible and includes accessible toilet and bar area.

Boarding information for Pier Head

If you have booked on to this cruise and are planning to depart from Pier Head at 11.30am, we advise you to arrive early as we expect it to be very busy around the Pier Head and access may be restricted. If access is restricted, please approach the Pier Head from Brunswick Street which is between the Port of Liverpool Building & Cunard Building, where you will be asked to show your ticket before being allowed through.
