Face coverings* must be worn on the ferry and in the terminals at all times.
Our staff are working really hard to help passengers cross the river as quickly as possible, but please be patient as due to reduced capacities there could be a queue at the ferry terminals.
Commuter and cross-river services will operate from Pier Head and Woodside terminals whilst Seacombe is closed for major refurbishment work. Find out more about the temporary closure of Seacombe terminal closure online.
Commuters who pay for weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly passes will also still benefit from free parking at Woodside.
Cross-river services will recommence from Monday 12 April, and will sail from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
Cross-river services will depart Pier Head, Liverpool on the hour and Woodside, Wirral at half past the hour.
Weekday Commuter Services will continue to operate between 07:20am – 09:50am and 5pm - 6:50pm.

If you’re thinking of using the ferries then please be aware that social distancing measures will be in place, so you need to plan your journey in advance and leave more time for your journey.
We’re asking customers to pay by contactless/card payments and don’t forget you can use the ticket machines at the terminals - this is to protect both you and our staff.
It’s also important practice good hygiene – avoid touching surfaces, your face, and wash your hands properly both before and after your journey.

River Explorer Cruises are cancelled until further notice.
Customers with Manchester Ship Canal gift vouchers will be able to exchange the vouchers for a sailing in 2021. Vouchers do not need to be re-issued, please keep gift vouchers safe until the opportunity is available to exchange the vouchers for a future cruise.
Tickets for 2021 Manchester Ship Canal cruises are due to go on sale during the early part of 2021. Further updates regarding the on sale date for 2021 Manchester Ship Canal Cruise tickets will be released in light of government advice and Covid-19 guidelines.
