A River Explorer Cruise is an ideal way to make the journey to and from Eureka! Science + Discovery. You can also start your cruise from Seacombe with the option of breaking your journey in Liverpool or staying on and completing a roundtrip.

Itinerary 1 

Take the Mersey Ferry from Pier Head, Liverpool to Eureka! Science + Discovery at Seacombe, Wirral - Return Cruise Trip 

This itinerary includes travelling by Mersey Ferry to and from Eureka! Science + Discovery. River Explorer Cruises depart on the hour from Pier Head, Liverpool from 10am to 4pm. The journey to Seacombe takes 20 minutes, and your class will be able to experience stunning views of Liverpool and Wirral’s skyline and learn more about the fascinating history and rich musical heritage of Liverpool and Wirral from our recorded commentary. Eureka! Science + Discovery is located just outside the terminal building with easy access between the terminal building and Eureka. 

Once your class has completed their visit to Eureka, they can take a River Explorer Cruise on the Mersey Ferry back to Pier Head, Liverpool. Departures are 20 past the hour, the journey time is 30 minutes, and your class will enjoy more incredible views of our world-famous waterfront and learn more from our recorded commentary. Your coach or bus can drop off and collect very near to the Pier Head Ferry Terminal, Liverpool (drop off available on Canada Boulevard).    

Itinerary 2

Take the Mersey Ferry from Pier Head, Liverpool to Eureka! Science + Discovery at Seacombe, Wirral - Single Journey 

This itinerary includes travelling by Mersey Ferry to Eureka! Science + Discovery. River Explorer Cruises depart on the hour from Pier Head, Liverpool from 10am to 4pm. The journey to Seacombe takes 20 minutes, and your class will be able to experience stunning views of Liverpool and Wirral’s skyline and learn more about the fascinating history and rich musical heritage of Liverpool and Wirral from our recorded commentary. Eureka! Science + Discovery is located just outside the terminal building with easy access between the terminal building and Eureka.   

Your coach or bus can drop off very near to the Pier Head Ferry Terminal, Liverpool (drop off on Canada Boulevard) and then travel over to Seacombe/Eureka through the Kingsway Mersey Tunnel (Wallasey) to collect your group following their visit to Eureka. This itinerary is ideal if time is short, and you want to combine a ferry trip and a visit to Eureka.  

Itinerary 3

Take the Mersey Ferry from Seacombe Terminal, Wirral either before or following your visit to Eureka! Science + Discovery - Return Cruise Trip 

This itinerary includes a return River Explorer Cruise on the Mersey Ferry from Seacombe Terminal, Wirral which can be taken either before or following your group visit to Eureka! Cruises depart Seacombe at 20 past the hour from 10.20am to 3.20pm. The roundtrip takes 1 hour.

Itinerary 4

Take the Mersey Ferry from Seacombe Terminal, Wirral to Pier Head, Liverpool following your visit to Eureka! Science + Discovery - Single Journey  

This itinerary includes travelling from Seacombe Ferry Terminal, Wirral to Pier Head Terminal, Liverpool on a River Explorer Cruise following your group visit to Eureka! Cruises depart Seacombe at 20 past the hour from 10.20am to 4.20pm. The journey to Pier Head Liverpool takes 30 minutes.    

After arriving at Pier Head, Liverpool your coach or bus can collect your group very near to the Ferry Terminal (collection on Canada Boulevard). The coach or bus would need to travel from Eureka to Pier Head, Liverpool through the Kingsway Mersey Tunnel (Wallasey). This itinerary is ideal if time is short, and you want to combine a ferry trip and a visit to Eureka.
