Take a ferry cruise to see HMS Prince of Wales
Join Mersey Ferries on a special River Explorer Cruise to celebrate the arrival in Liverpool of the magnificent Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier HMS Prince of Wales on Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December.
HMS Prince of Wales is one of the most powerful warships ever constructed in the UK. Along with her sister ship, HMS Queen Elizabeth, they are the largest ships ever built for the Royal Navy. The ship’s flight deck is 70 metres wide and 280 metres long - enough space for three football pitches.
The special River Explorer Cruises on Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December will include a Blue Badge Guide, who will provide live expert sightseeing commentary including information about the HMS Prince of Wales. Passengers will be able to see unparalleled views of the aircraft carrier while it is docked.

Saturday 7 December - cruises depart from 10am to 3pm
Sunday 8 December - cruises depart from 10am to 3pm
Normal River Explorer Cruise (REC) prices and departure times apply to the cruises on Saturday and Sunday. You can buy your River Explorer Cruise ticket in advance online. Online tickets can be used on any date or time of your choice allowing you maximum flexibility. You do not have to select a date or time when buying your online tickets, however we strongly advise you get to the terminal 15 minutes before your departure time to avoid disappointment.
The HMS Prince of Wales is due to arrive in the Mersey on Monday 2 December and will leave on Monday 9 December.
