Commuter Services depart each weekday morning and evening and operate between 07:20 – 09:50am and 5pm - 6:50pm. A cross-river sailing will also depart Pier Head at 4pm and Woodside at 4:30pm Monday- Friday. This additional service is to help passengers cross the river during the current restrictions. 

All services will sail from Pier Head and Woodside terminals from Monday 4 January, whilst Seacombe is closed for major refurbishment work. 

Face coverings must be worn at all times on the ferry and in the terminals. Find more information and prices on our Current Service Information page.

Have you been feeling the pressure lately, felt a little anxious or stressed? Don’t let it get you down; press the refresh button and join in with our beginner friendly Meditation and Mindfulness session.

Meditation teacher Sion Jones from Yin Yan (a Yoga, Pilates and Mediation studio based in Liverpool), will take you through a 30 minute introductory meditation session, so you can take a deep breath and relax with Mersey Ferries.

The session will be broadcast live on our Facebook page at 5pm on Thursday 23 July, so all you need to do is tune in and chill out. 

After a short introduction you'll be guided through some easy to follow techniques designed to help you to experience the powerful calming effects of mindfulness and meditation. Sion (pictured) will show you how to use your breath to help you relax, and will also take you through a body scan meditation that can help you to experience a deeper sense of mental and physical relaxation.

No experience is necessary and you can take part wherever you are, so you can listen on the ferry as you commute home, in your kitchen, the garden or tucked up in bed at night to help you sleep.

The aim of the session is to help you slow down and focus on the present moment, with practice these mindfulness techniques can help you to manage difficult or stressful thoughts and emotions, which will benefit your overall mental wellbeing.

Take half an hour out of your busy day, breathe deeply and relax. You deserve it!
