River Explorer Cruise (includes U-boat Story)
U-boat Story (only)
We have two Mersey Ferries; the Royal Iris of the Mersey in traditional black, white and red livery and the Dazzle Ferry, the only operating Dazzle Ship in the UK. The eye-catching design was created by Sir Peter Blake as part of the First World War commemorations.
Bring dazzle to the classroom with teacher’s notes and activities produced by Liverpool Biennial.
Your River Explorer Cruise tickets also include free entrance to U-boat Story at Woodside Ferry Terminal, so you can make a day of your trip.
A visit to U-boat Story will give children an amazing insight into life on board a real German submarine through U-boat Story’s interactive and audio-visual exhibits.
Don’t forget to download lessons plans for Key Stages 2 and 3, so your class can learn more about the history of U-534 and what life was like on board for the crew.
If you want to give your class the ultimate sightseeing tour of Liverpool why not book a Do the Double package.
Your class will hop on board the Mersey Ferry for a 50-minute River Explorer Cruise and then travel around the city seeing many of Liverpool’s famous landmarks with a guided tour from City Explorer Open Top Bus.
We can request a dedicated bus for your groups sole use, subject to availability. Please note the maximum capacity of the bus is 60.
